Lesly joined the team in 2024 as the Community Health Worker for Veggie Rx. In this role she helps coordinate the implementation of Veggie Rx, the produce prescription program not only aimed at creating equity for those experiencing lack of food access, but also, allowing for an equity market channel for beginner farmers and Windy City Harvest trainees. With a background in Biological Sciences and Spanish from the University of Illinois Chicago and certification in Community Health Work from Malcolm X College, Lesly has continued to develop cultural humility and is motivated by a passion to help provide resources and make people feel heard.
