Slavik Tabakov
Prof Slavik Tabakov, PhD, Dr.h.c., FIPEM, FHEA, FIOMP, FIUPESM is Emeritus President of IUPESM. He was also President of IOMP (2015-2018). He is an active contributor to the international development of medical physics for over 30 years. He was born in Bulgaria and since 1991 works at King’s College Hospital London, UK, where he was the Founding Director of MSc Clinical Sciences (Medical Physics), MSc Clinical Sciences (Clinical Engineering), and MSc Medical Engineering and Physics (2001-2018). He is also Co-Director of the International College on Medical Physics at ICTP, Trieste, Italy. Prof Tabakov has led 7 international projects, which developed the first e-learning in medical physics, the first educational website in the profession, the first Medical Physics Scientific Dictionary (translated to 31 languages) and the first e-Encyclopaedia of Medical Physics (www.emitel2.eu). Oleg Tabakov
After graduating from the Moscow Art Theater School in 1956, Oleg Tabakov became a founding member of The Sovremennik (Contemporary) Theatre, serving as its Producing Director between 1971 and 1976. Mr. Tabakov joined the MXAT in 1983, was named the head of the MXAT School in 1986, and Artistic Director of the Moscow Art Theatre in 2000.
As one of the most prominent theatre and movie actors in Russia, Mr. Tabakov has been seen in more than 150 roles at The Sovremennik and at MXAT, including Malvolio in Twelfth Night, Salieri in Amadeus, Ivan Kolomiytsev in The Last People by Maxim Gorky, and Anchugin in Anecdotes by Vampilov. His film appearances most well-known to Western audiences include Oblomov in Oblomov, Scherbuk in Unfinished Piece for the Mechanical Piano, and Pyotr Rostov in War and Peace. He has directed over 30 productions in Austria, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Japan, Russia, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Youlian Tabakov was born on July 2, 1975 in Sofia - Bulgaria,
he graduated from the High School of Applied Arts in Sofia in 1994.
He received his first Master′s Degree in Scenography and Costume Design
from the National Art Academy “N. Pavlovich” in Sofia in 2000and a second one
in Fine Arts - photography and sculpture from ENS des Beaux-Arts in Paris in 2002.
His first professional appearance as a set designer and director was in Chekov′s play “Three sisters”
at the theatre “NDT Salza i Smjah” in Sofia, Bulgaria (season 1999 – 2000).
Since 2002 he has made the set & costume design
for over 60 productions of drama, puppet and movement theatre, opera, documentary and fictionfilms in
Bulgaria, Itali, Germany, Kenya, Litwania, Russia, Sweden and Switzerland.
Youlian Tabakov has illustrated numerous poetry and children books
and has presented some of them in several group and solo exhibits in Bulgaria, Sweden and Czech Republic.
