David Rees Snell (bornAugust 20, 1966; age 58) played Detective Ronnie Gardocki on The Shield and voiced the same character in The Shield: The Game.
Biography[]
Rees Snell was born in Wichita, Kansas. He debuted in the 1995 TV film Truman where he played a reporter. After that, he had some small roles in films until he was cast as Ronnie Gardocki in 2002. He has also worked as a voice actor for several video games.
After finishing The Shield, David has reunited with his past crew and fellow co-stars for several shows. From 2008 to 2009, he worked in The Unit which was also created by Shawn Ryan. In 2011, he appeared in Sons of Anarchy, which was created by Kurt Sutter. There he reunited with Benito Martinez and Kenneth Johnson. In 2012, he teamed again with Ryan for the show Last Resort, which also featured Matt Gerald. Since 2018, David has had a recurring role on S.W.A.T. which is also developed by Ryan and stars Kenneth Johnson.

David Rees Snell (born August 20, 1966) is a television actor cast as Detective Ronnie Gardocki, on the FX Networks' crime drama The Shield.
When The Shield was picked up by FX, Snell was initially hired as a supporting cast member on the show. He was told, that the writers had no plans for developing his character, due to him only being a last minute addition to an already large cast of actors. However, after merely a few episodes, his character was made a permanent member of the tactical unit aka The Strike Team. Snell has subsequentially appeared in almost every episode since, with his character garnering a sizable following amongst fans of the show. When his screen time expanded even further, during the fifth season, he became a full-time cast member.
Snell is also a voice actor, who has appeared in such short films as P1 and Draw the Pirate. He also had a speaking role in the video game Need for Speed: Undercover.

David Rees Snell (born August 20, 1966)[1] is an American actor. He is known for his roles as Detective Ronnie Gardocki on the crime drama The Shield, Detective John Burrows in S.W.A.T. (2018–present), and Paul in The Beacon (2009).
Career
Snell was born in Wichita, Kansas.[1] He attended the University of Kansas as a theater major. He performed mostly on stage before becoming involved in television work.[2]
