BILOXI, Miss. (WLOX) - Biloxi Mayor Andrew “FoFo” Gilich will serve another term as the city’s mayor after his lone opponent was disqualified.
Friday, the Democratic Executive Committee ruled Arneka Gardner-Keys did not live in the city limits, and therefore did not meet the qualifications to run for the office.
The committee also removed Maurice “Mo” Williams from the ballot for the Biloxi Ward 2 council seat, leaving incumbent Felix Gines facing independent Tracey Smith in the general election.

A number of coast cities have no opposition for the top office. Four coast cities have incumbent mayoral candidates running unopposed for reelection: Mike Favre in Bay St. Louis, FoFo Gilich in Biloxi, Nancy Depreo in Diamondhead, and Rusty Quave in D’Iberville.
Lucedale also has just one candidate for mayor, Doug Lee, who is a former mayor of the city. Pascagoula’s lone mayoral candidate, Jay Willis, is the only newcomer to politics guaranteed to win his race.

BILOXI, MS (WLOX) - Incumbent Andrew "FoFo" Gilich has won the republican nomination for Mayor of Biloxi. Gilich will face Democrat Sugar Stallings in the general election June 6.
Gilich easily defeated challenger Jess Kennedy in Tuesday's primary with 75 percent of the vote.
Biloxi has three city council primaries.
In Ward 4, incumbent Robert Deming defeated retired Biloxi police officer Rodney McGilvary by just four points. The winner has no opposition in June.
It's the same story in Ward 7. Nathan Barrett beat out Johnny Fayard in that GOP primary. Because David Fayard isn't running for reelection, Nathan Barrett will represent Woolmarket on the city council.
The third primary in Biloxi featured incumbent Felix Gines and Charlie Clay, III. Gines won the democratic nomination in a landslide victory. Gines meets Ronald Weeks in June's general election.
The only other race on June ballots pits Ward 1 incumbent George Lawrence against Kai Landry.
Dixie Newman, Paul Tisdale, and Kenny Glavan face no opposition in the primary or the general election. The republicans will all s

Andrew M. “FoFo” Gilich, Jr. was elected mayor of Biloxi by special election in May 2015 and was elected to his first full term in June 2017. He is now serving his second full term in office.
Gilich succeeded Biloxi’s longest-serving mayor, A.J. Holloway, and came into office promising to provide 21st-century solutions to help to solve Biloxi’s challenges and move the city forward. He also promoted his Biloxi roots and appreciation of Biloxi’s 315-year history, proclaiming “I am Biloxi.”
Gilich is well-versed in both innovation and Biloxi’s history.
About that nickname: “FoFo” was tagged with his nickname as a young toddler because of his affinity for “Jack and the Beanstalk” (“fee-fi-fo-fo-fum
