Dai Satō (佐藤 大?, Satō Dai; 1969) è uno sceneggiatore e musicistagiapponese.

Biografia

Nato nel 1969 ed iniziata la carriera di sceneggiatore in giovanissima età, Satō è stato impiegato in diverse compagnie[1] per poi focalizzarsi sulla scrittura di anime. La prima serie di successo a cui collabora è Cowboy Bebop, prodotta dalla Sunrise nel 1998, successivamente collabora ad altre note serie d'animazione quali Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex e Wolf's Rain.

Nel 2005 diviene lo sceneggiatore capo di Eureka Seven, grazie al quale viene insignito di un premio per la miglior sceneggiatura alla Tokyo International Anime Fair del 2006[2]. Nello stesso anno realizza Ergo Proxy in coppia con Shukō Murase.

Tra 2006 e 2007 lavora alla sceneggiatura della serie OAVFreedom, diretta da Katsuhiro Ōtomo.

Oltretutto ha fondato la sua compagnia di consulenza personale, la Frognation, che incorpora la Frogman Records, etichetta discografica sua e dell'amico Kengo Watanabe.

Biography:
Dai Sato was born in Shimane, Japan in 1969.

Around the age of 19, he contracted with "Sold Out" and started his career working on broadcast composition and lyric writing. His interests gradually shifted toward the gaming industry and at the age of 23, Mr. Sato met Satoshi Tajiri, the game designer that brought the world "Pocket Monsters," and began working at Game Freak. When Mr. Sato completed his contract the following year, he continued with his writing career, but at the same time expanded his reach into Techno and Club music. Soon thereafter, Mr. Sato co-founded a Techno music Label (Frogman Records) with Kengo Watanabe. This venture evolved into a planning company (his main forte) called, Frognation. In 2007, Mr. Sato independently founded a new company, Story Riders, where he currently serves as President.
