In this Spanish name, the first or paternal surname is Basáñez and the second or maternal family name is Rodríguez.

Sergio Manuel Enrico Basáñez Rodríguez (Spanish pronunciation:[ˈseɾxjoβaˈsaɲes]; born May 4, 1970, in Poza Rica, Veracruz, Mexico[2]) is a Mexican actor.[3]

Career

Sergio started his acting career at an early age. Before he got leading roles in soap operas, he made special appearances in them, while he studied acting. Simultaneously, he also studied law and became a lawyer.[citation needed]

At the age 22, Basañez got his first leading role in the Televisa soap opera Sueño de Amor (1992–1993). In 1994, he moved to Miami to star in the soap opera Morelia, and in 1995, he returned to Mexico[4] to perform a special appearance in Marisol.[5]

Then, in 1998, his last performances for Televisa were in La usurpadora and La Mentira, as he moved to TV Azteca, in 1999, where he got the leading role of Cata

"Entre el amor y el deseo"is a Mexican telenovela produced by María del Carmen Marcosfor TV Azteca. It's an adaptation of 1983 Brazilian telenovela 'Louco amor' written by Gilberto Braga, and it aired from September 27, 2010 to May 20, 2011. The main stars are Lorena Rojasand Víctor González.

Synopsis[]

Luis Carlos is a noble and enthusiastic young man who works alongside his mother for the Dumont family. Don Edgar Dumont, a good-hearted man pays him for his studies when he sees the great potential that the young man has to write. At the same time, Claudia, a beautiful young woman and the daughter of a seamstress, comes with her mother to deliver a tablecloth to the Dumont family home, where she meets Luis Carlos and immediately falls in love with him. Amor en custodia —o internacionalmente distribuido como Pasiones prohibidas[1]​— es una telenovela mexicana producida por Emilia Lamothe para TV Azteca, emitida entre 2005 y 2006.[2]​ La telenovela es una versión de la historia homónima argentina creada por Marcela Citterio y Enrique Estevanez, siendo adaptada por Bethel Flores.[3]​ Se estrenó por Azteca Trece el 18 de julio de 2005 en sustitución de La otra mitad del sol, y finalizó el 11 de agosto de 2006 siendo reemplazado por Montecristo.[4]
